Carbon Charter

Note that due to the COVID-19 situation we are not currently undertaking site visits to any businesses.  If you're interested in a Charter accreditation, please get in touch and we can arrange an alternative assessment process, or book you in for when we're able to resume full activities.

The Carbon Charter is an award recognising carbon reduction measures in small and medium businesses - i.e. those with fewer than 250 FTEs (Full Time Equivalent staff).  Applying through BEE Anglia is the first step for eligible businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk to gain accreditation.

A Charter Assessment includes a full site visit and review by a qualified assessor, and results in a readily understood badge endorsing the company at one of three levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold).

Gaining Charter accreditation will help your business stand out from the crowd, give you access to a dynamic network of like-minded businesses, and help guide your business towards greater sustainability.

Sign up here if you wish for one of our advisors to contact you with an application pack.

Why apply?

More and more people are waking up to the risks involved with our current levels of consumption. Individuals and companies alike are changing their habits in order to reduce their energy use. This means potential customers are looking for a reliable measure that can reassure them they're not damaging the planet with their purchases. The Carbon Charter allows small businesses to communicate their environmental commitment with a clearly recognisable brand.
